Sangam House residency programmes are designed for writers who have published to some acclaim but have not yet enjoyed substantial commercial success. Sangam House seeks to give writers a chance to build a solid and influential network of personal and professional relationships that can deepen their own work, in effect, expanding and diversifying literature.
The bangaloREsidency programme has been conceived as a long-term collaboration between the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore and various innovative and discerning contemporary art/cultural spaces and partners in Bangalore, with a view to offering aspirants from Germany a space conducive to creative output and the opportunity to interact with Indian artists/experts, in the challenging context of Asia’s fastest-growing metropolis.
Cost Covered
- The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan will bear economy return airfare from Germany to Bangalore and room and board for the duration of the residency.
- All other expenses have to be borne by the selected candidate.
