CFAs: Communicators’ Workshop on Renewable Energy (India)

EJN is organizing a three-day workshop, primarily for communicators based in Maharashtra. The workshop sessions are designed to strengthen their skills to explore various renewable energy issues in the state. Selected communicators will have the opportunity to learn from researchers, thematic experts, policymakers and communities to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the situation.

Benefits

• The organizers will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and meals of selected participants.
• The workshop will include a field trip to a suitable location.

Duration

• The workshop will be held in Kolhapur from March 27-29, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applications are open to communicators based in India from print, online, radio and television outlets. Preference will be given to applicants from Maharashtra. Secondary preference will be given to communicators from Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
• They especially encourage women and early and mid-career professionals to apply.
• Applicants must:
  • Commit to attending all days of the workshop.
  • Have some experience reporting in one or more of the following areas:
    • Energy
    • Environment
    • Business
    • Science
  • Understand and be able to communicate in English and/or Marathi.
  • Demonstrate an interest in renewable energy issues.
  • Permit republication by the organizers of any output as a result of participation in the workshop.
