Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (BLM), in collaboration with the Venetian Research and Innovation District (DVRI), on the occasion of the European Month of Creativity, publishes a call for the selection of video/media/digital art for the exhibition L’HABITAT DI DOMANI.
CreArt 3.0 #stringing together, which will take place at the Sala del Camino, Chiostro SS. Cosma and Damiano Giudecca 620, Giudecca (Venice) from 9 May to 2 June 2024.
The exhibition is an integral part of the European CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together project. Creart 3.0 is a project funded under the Creative Europe Program thanks to which 13 European cities will be involved in the exchange of experiences and good practices to promote contemporary art in all its forms: visual, performative and musical.
Theme
- L’HABITAT DI DOMANI. How will they adapt and resist in a future poised by climate change? Will the relationship between people change? What balance will they create with the ecosystem in which they live also with respect to the major issues at the center of today’s debate such as the green economy and sustainability, or the technological transformations underway such as AI?
Jury and Prizes
- A jury made up of three artists who are experts in the field of video art will evaluate the works submitted and will select a maximum of 12 finalist works, at its sole discretion.
- A prize will be awarded to the most deserving work for an amount equal to €2600 including tax charges, which will be announced during the inauguration of the exhibition at the Sala del Camino, Chiostro SS. Cosma and Damiano Giudecca 620, on 9 May 2024.
- Further special awards may be granted thanks to the collaboration of bodies (such as the single document on the assessment of risk) and third parties.
- Duration: The works can have a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
Admission Criteria
- Participation is free and reserved for artists of any nationality, residents or domiciled in the metropolitan city of Venice, aged between 18 and 40 on the expiry date of this notice.
