The Crosscare Youth Information Service is very excited to announce that a group of local young people from the Youth Service in Dún Laoghaire, collaborating with Ciara Keegan are looking for entries for their exhibition ‘Justice and Peace’.
They welcome all different forms of art from drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, film, collage, painting, original music, textiles, performance etc.
The selected artworks will be displayed in the Municipal Gallery in dlr Lexicon in Dún Laoghaire from the 9th of December until the 25th February and there will be prizes for the winners of different categories.
The artworks and winners will be selected by a group of young people working collaboratively with artist Ciara Keegan.
Categories
- There are three categories for entry
- 12-14 years
- 15-17 years
- An application from a group of young people
Eligibility Criteria
- Artists must live in, work in or attend school or training in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.
- Artists must be between the ages of 12 and 17.
- A maximum of one application will be accepted from any one individual or group.
- Individual applications and group applications are welcome.
- No late applications will be accepted.
- Dimensional artworks must be no larger than 230cm high, including any frame (no width restriction). These artworks must be strung, ready to hang.
- Dimensional artworks must be no larger than 100cm wide and 200cm high.
- Video/film/animation pieces must be viewable on a standard TV; sound will be via headphones.
- The Gallery enjoys a huge range of visitors and audiences from a diverse range of backgrounds. They welcome visitors of all ages from young children to adults and older people. It is important that exhibited work should be suitable for viewing by all.
