The European Academy Berlin, warmly invite you to become part of the 2025 edition of the project “Newsroom Europe”!
Through interactive role-play, you will learn about the mechanisms of the EU Council Presidency. Embassy representatives will present the priorities of their presidencies, and you will have the opportunity to hold exciting discussions with European policymakers, NGO representatives, and journalists. Together, you will learn how to produce engaging articles, podcasts, and social media stories.
Through this project, they aim to create a strong, cross-border network of young Europeans and promote discussion about Europe’s future beyond national boundaries. If you meet the following criteria and would like to participate, apply now and become part of Newsroom Europe!
Eligibility Criteria

- To take part in the project, you must:
- Reside in Germany, Poland, or Denmark,
- Be between 18 and 30 years old,
- Have an interest in European politics and media,
- Possess English language skills at a minimum of B2/C1 level,
- Have some initial journalistic experience (e.g., through school newspapers, blogs, or podcasts) – desirable but not mandatory,
- Be motivated to work for one year with young Europeans in a trinational team,
- Be available on the above-mentioned dates for the excursions and online meetings.
Application Requirements
- Send them your CV and a short motivation letter (maximum 1.5 pages) explaining why you would like to join Newsroom Europe. Please answer two of the following questions:
- One of these questions:
- What do you see as the greatest challenge for the European Union in 2025? or
- What priorities should the EU set to strengthen its values (Article 2 TEU)? And this question:
- How do you imagine working together in a trinational editorial team?
