The American Political Science Association (APSA) is pleased to announce a Call for Applications from early-career scholars who would like to participate in the MENA Mentoring Initiative.
The program is an opportunity to receive feedback and comments from senior colleagues on a project-specific activity that is at an advanced stage of development. The mentoring duration will be between 3 and 6 months, depending on the activity and planned outcome.
The Mentoring Initiative is part of APSA’s MENA Program – a multi-year effort funded by Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY) to support political science research among early-career scholars in the Arab MENA region, and to strengthen research networks linking Arab scholars with their colleagues overseas.
Eligible Participants and Activities
- The mentoring initiative is intended for PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, and other early-career scholars (those who received their PhDs within the past 5 years) who are citizens of countries in the Arab MENA region. Priority will be given to scholars currently based at universities or research institutes in the region. The program is open to scholars in political science and other social science disciplines who seek support and feedback on one of the below activities:
- Journal article
- Book chapter
- Dissertation chapter
- Book proposal
- Grant proposal
