Are you a creative content creator passionate about sustainable tourism? The Interreg NEXT MED Programme is inviting applicants to participate in an exciting Call for a Content Creator for a chance to win a three-night trip to Split, Croatia to help them cover the event “Paths That Last: Collaborating for Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean.”
The event will take place on June 25–26, 2025, and is organized under the Mediterranean Multi-Programme Mechanism—a unique coordination initiative.
Benefits
- The selected content creator will:
- Travel to Split, Croatia, with expenses covered (excluding personal costs and meals).
- Create and share engaging content (reels, stories, and posts, primarily on Instagram) before, during, and after the event.
- Gain international visibility and networking opportunities within the Mediterranean sustainable tourism community.
Role and Responsibilities
- Your mission will be to create engaging and inspiring content – including posts, stories, reels, and videos – before, during, and after the event, mainly through Instagram.
- You’ll bring a fresh, youth-driven perspective – capturing standout moments, highlighting meaningful insights, and spreading the spirit of sustainable tourism across the Mediterranean. Your content will be featured on Interreg NEXT MED social media.
Eligibility Criteria
- This opportunity is open to young content creators who:
- Are between 18 and 30 years old by the application deadline.
- Are based in one of the 15 Mediterranean countries participating in the Interreg NEXT MED Programme: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Türkiye.
- Have a minimum of 10,000 followers on at least one social media platform.
- Are available from June 24 to 27, 2025 and able to travel to Croatia.
- Can attend briefing sessions with Interreg NEXT MED Programme staff.
Selection Criteria
- All applications that meet the eligibility criteria and comply with the contest rules will be evaluated by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme based on the following criteria:
- Social Media Influence:
- Number of followers on at least one platform (minimum of 10,000 required).
- Engagement level (likes, comments, shares, interaction with the audience).
- Pitch Video Quality:
- Creativity and originality of the content.
- Production quality (sound, visuals, editing).
- Relevance to the call’s theme (sustainable tourism and Mediterranean cooperation).
- Application Strength:
- Clarity and completeness of the answers.
- Alignment of the proposal with the event’s objectives.
- Content Creation Experience:
- Proven skills in digital content creation and audiovisual production.
- Experience in travel vlogging or tourism-related content.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong storytelling ability.
- Proficiency in English.
- Social Media Influence:
Application Requirements
- Upload a 60-sec pitch video showcasing:
- Why you want to cover the Paths That Last event in Split, Croatia.
- How you plan to cover the event and engage audience with inspiring content related to sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean region and the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
- Show an example of your content style.
- The language of the video will be English.
- All submitted content must meet the following criteria:
- Be original work. Content generated by artificial intelligence will be rejected.
- The content must not include material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous, libelous, or otherwise unlawful.
- The content must not contain advertising or any other commercial material.
