The Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with MyGov is organizing a contest for Article Writing on “Swachh Bharat: 10-Year Journey of Change”.
The Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) represents a transformative phase in India’s sanitation narrative, driven by a history enriched with ancient innovations and bolstered by contemporary governmental efforts. Initiated in 2014 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, the mission targeted making India Open Defecation Free (ODF).
Eligibility Criteria
- Anyone can register on the portal and participate in the contest. The participant has to write an article and get it published in any regional/vernacular newspapers (online/offline)/Magazine/E-Magazine). The same has to be uploaded on the portal along with the newspaper/magazine clipping or link to the article in case of an e-publication, in order to confirm the participation.
- The articles should be based on the following:
- Focus on SBM and its impact in vernacular language
- Relevance of the article with the regional issues and context
- Capturing insights of a local population or regional.
- Impact, readership and reach of the newspaper/magazine/e-site where the content is being published
Application Requirements
- No offensive language or derogatory content will be allowed.
- All submissions must be original and not infringe on existing copyrights or trademarks.
- Organizers are not liable for lost, late, incomplete, or technically flawed entries. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
- Organizers reserve the right to disqualify or restrict harmful or detrimental participation. Proof of identity may be required.
- Submissions may be used by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation and Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen with due credit to the creator.
- Complete and accurate information is required for registration. Illegible/incomplete registrations will be void.
- Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding pictures in the article (if any).
- Once an article is submitted for selection, it will be considered as final, and no changes will be entertained after submission.
- The jury’s decision is final in case of disputes.
- Participants will be required to provide their name, email address, telephone number, and additional details as required at the time of registration. By submitting their details and participating in the contest, participants give consent to Ministry of Jal Shakti to use this information as required.
- In case of any dispute or difference arises, the decision of the jury shall be final. Expenses incurred for this purpose will be borne by the participants themselves.
- The Government of India does not bear responsibility for copyright violations or intellectual property infringements carried out by participants.
