Deadline: 30 September 2024
Are you an artist from the Asia-Pacific region? Do you believe in gender equality and want to amplify the voices of women and girls through your art? Do you have a vision for a more inclusive and equitable world that you want to share? This is your chance to showcase your creativity and make an impact! United Nations Economic and Social Commission (ESCAP) and the UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, as part of the Beijing+30 Review, are launching the Art for Impact: Beijing+30 Digital Art Competition.
UN Women is inviting artists from across the Asia-Pacific to submit digital artworks that reflect the 12 critical areas of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, as well as emerging themes like digitalization, climate change, and the care economy. Winning entries will be featured at the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on the Beijing+30 Review in November 2024, with the top three artists invited to join us at the high-level event in Bangkok.
The conference will gather leaders and stakeholders to reinvigorate commitments to gender equality and forge a path forward for the region. To complement these discussions, ESCAP and UN Women are launching the “Art for Impact: Beijing+30 Digital Art Competition” a unique opportunity for artists across the Asia-Pacific to share their visions for a more gender-equal world.
They are inviting artists to submit digital artworks that bring to life the critical issues from the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, along with emerging themes such as digitalization, climate change, and the care economy. The winning pieces will be displayed at the conference, and the top three artists will be invited to join us in Bangkok for the high-level event.
