The Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage (TCCH), the EU, and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are happy to announce the second open call for Heritage Youth Ambassadors to promote and preserve the rich cultural heritage of Cyprus.
Heritage Youth Ambassadors will act as the “voice of youth” of the CH programme and will be mandated to reach out to and engage with the youth of the island of Cyprus through:
- Promote cultural heritage sites and monuments.
- Engage young people in activities and events.
- Create, share stories and pictures about cultural heritage on social media.
- Act as unofficial young guardians of the cultural heritage sites over Cyprus.
Who can apply?
- Young Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots aged between 18-25 (for Heritage Youth Ambassadors):
- Enthusiastic about natural and cultural heritage of Cyprus.
- Interested in community exchanges between different groups, ready to share knowledge, experience and information.
- Able to serve as a role model for the preservation and visibility of the local heritage that she/he will be assigned.
- Interested in voluntary activities and available to commit time to engagements.
- Inherent sensitivity to the context and an understanding of the complexities involved.
- Embrace the values of solidarity, respect for human dignity and human rights, and believe in the promotion of a fair and equal society.
