Applications are now open for the Har Ghar Swadeshi – 1 Nation 1 Spirit Photo Story Contest.
The Vocal for Local initiative led by the Government of India encourages every citizen to support and promote indigenous products, empowering local artisans, entrepreneurs, and industries.
Celebrate the spirit of Vocal for Local by sharing a photo and an inspiring story of a Made in India product you use in daily life. Whether it’s a handcrafted item, a homegrown brand, or something made by local artisans — every product has a story. Upload your entry and inspire others to choose local with pride!
Prize Information
- 11 top winners will get the Cash Reward of INR. 11,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
Application Requirements
- Participants upload a photo of the product on MyGov
- Along with the image, they write a 150–200-word story around:
- How they discovered this local gem?
- What makes it special or sustainable?
- Who makes it and where it’s from (if known)?
- What inspires you to switch for Swadeshi/Local products?
- The photograph must be of HD quality, theme-based, and in JPEG/PNG or PDF format.
- Photographs containing inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content, including nudity, violence, human rights or environmental violations, or anything against Indian laws, culture, or moral values, will be disqualified immediately.
