The Fulbright Foreign Student program offers graduate students and young professionals the opportunity to study in the United States and earn a master’s degree.
Fields of Study
- The program is open to all fields of study.
- However, priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates in the STEM fields, especially in high-growth potential sectors, and agriculture.
- Candidates working in public health, public health management, molecular/microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics, medical engineering, and similar fields are also invited to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be citizens of Kazakhstan, residing in Kazakhstan at the time of application.
- Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education and hold at least a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
- Applicants must have at least 2 years of substantive professional experience after university graduation. Applications from 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students will not be considered.
- Eligible applicants must not have a university degree from a U.S. higher education institution.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Applicants who are currently in the U.S. or in any other country than the Republic of Kazakhstan are ineligible to apply.
Selection Criteria
- Nominees must have a sufficiently high-level of English to undertake full-time graduate level study in the United States.
- Nominees should have an outstanding academic record.
- Nominees must have satisfactory TOEFL and GRE/GMAT test scores.
- Nominees must demonstrate high motivation, serious commitment to completing the program and the leadership potential to create positive influence upon returning home.

- Applicants do not have to submit the test results by the application deadline
