The Fulbright Foreign Student program offers graduate students and young professionals the opportunity to study in the United States and earn a master’s degree.

Fields of Study

The program is open to all fields of study.
However, priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates in the STEM fields, especially in high-growth potential sectors, and agriculture.
Candidates working in public health, public health management, molecular/microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics, medical engineering, and similar fields are also invited to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of Kazakhstan, residing in Kazakhstan at the time of application.
Applicants must have completed their undergraduate education and hold at least a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must have at least 2 years of substantive professional experience after university graduation. Applications from 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students will not be considered.
Eligible applicants must not have a university degree from a U.S. higher education institution.

Ineligibility Criteria

Applicants who are currently in the U.S. or in any other country than the Republic of Kazakhstan are ineligible to apply.

Selection Criteria

Nominees must have a sufficiently high-level of English to undertake full-time graduate level study in the United States.
Nominees should have an outstanding academic record.
Nominees must have satisfactory TOEFL and GRE/GMAT test scores.
Nominees must demonstrate high motivation, serious commitment to completing the program and the leadership potential to create positive influence upon returning home.
