Apply Now: Communicators’ Workshop on Renewable Energy in Lucknow – India

The workshop is primarily for communicators based in Uttar Pradesh and neighboring states. Interested communicators based in other states may also apply.

The sessions will focus on various aspects related to the growth and adoption of renewable energy in the state. Selected communicators will have the opportunity to learn from researchers, thematic experts, policymakers and communities to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the situation.

Benefits

• The organizers will cover the cost of travel, accommodation and meals for selected participants.
• The workshop will include a field trip to a suitable location.

Duration

• The workshop will be held in Lucknow from July 10-12, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applications are open to communicators based in India from print, online, radio and television outlets. Preference will be given to applicants from Uttar Pradesh and those associated with outlets with large audiences in the state. Secondary preference will be given to communicators from Bihar, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
• They especially encourage women and early and mid-career professionals to apply.
• Applicants must:
  • Commit to attending all days of the workshop.
  • Have some experience reporting in one or more of the following areas:
    • Energy
    • Environment
    • Business
    • Science
  • Understand and be able to communicate in English and/or Hindi.
  • Demonstrate an interest in renewable energy issues.
  • Permit republication by the organizers of any output as a result of participation in the workshop.
