Applications are now open for the Global Engagement Summit, a student-run social innovation conference that gathers young change makers from around the world to collaborate, discuss and further their social ventures.
The Global Engagement Summit (GES) empowers young change-makers to produce innovative and sustainable solutions to shared global problems. They do this by providing training, facilitating mentorships, organizing grant offerings, and connecting driven students with innovative thought leaders. In addition to tangible outcomes, resources and opportunities, GES also strives to provide a forum for discussing critical issues and evaluating why they want to “do good well.” Through GES, students can share challenges, develop their projects, and equip themselves with the tools needed to take their social ventures to the next level.
The Global Engagement Summit believes that by connecting and empowering students they can begin to meet pressing social needs.
Above all, GES hopes to foster a greater sense of community among the world’s social entrepreneurs. Young change makers and thought leaders can learn and benefit from each other’s experiences and gain lifelong connections. The summit will take place on April 17th – 21st, 2024 and will be hosted on Northwestern University’s campus in Evanston, Illinois.
The Summit
- The Summit is a five-day long conference held every April at Northwestern University. Delegates from around the world arrive with change-based projects that can tackle any social change from education to healthcare to sustainability. If their project is in the ideas phase, they help them make their plan a reality. If it’s already up and coming, they help them become more impactful.
- Delegates leave the Summit with tangible skills and newly learned strategies to improve their project and create change in the most effective way possible.
Cost Covered
- GES will organize housing, transportation, and daily breakfast and dinners for all delegates throughout the summit. However, if there are still financial barriers preventing you from attending the summit, they urge you to still apply. The Global Engagement Summit is proud to offer need based financial aid to cover travel expenses associated with attending the in-person summit.
