The O GLOBO has launched the first edition of a completely free course for young professionals to learn and discuss the paths of the profession with the best journalists and experts in the country.
Students will be fully immersed in journalism through lectures, interviews, training sessions and classes taught by the company’s leading journalists and columnists, as well as renowned professionals from various academic fields.
The course will cover the issues that most impact Brazil and the world, always with an eye on innovation: from economics to politics, from new technologies to culture, from sports to data journalism, from the use and impact of artificial intelligence to the environment.
In conversations with editors, columnists and reporters, learn about the major challenges facing journalism in Brazil in 2025, such as the evolution of content production, communication with readers of different generations and creativity to distribute news in new media outlets.
Focus Areas
- Technology at the service of content production and distribution
- They will explore the essential tools for digital journalism: the impact of SEO on content distribution strategies, the paths of transmedia journalism, audiovisual production, the role of art and design (infographics, illustration, photography), the development of social media strategies and data journalism.
- Artificial intelligence in newsrooms
- The impacts and challenges of using artificial intelligence in content production will be shown in lectures and workshops on transparency, ethical and responsible use of technology, and analysis of large databases in investigative journalism. They will learn about concrete cases of how AI can improve the reader experience.
- Project development
- Participants will be divided into groups, each of which will be led by a GLOBO journalist as a mentor, who will provide ongoing monitoring of their work. The intensive four-week experience will result in the presentation of a final digital project, which may range from multimedia reports, infographics, innovative formats for social media or digital products, and which may be implemented at GLOBO.

Duration
- Classes will start on August 25th and end on September 19th.
Eligibility Criteria
- Journalists from anywhere in the country can apply.
- Journalists trained at schools registered by the MEC from January 2022 to January 2025.
Selection Criteria
- 20 journalists selected;
- The application, multiple-choice test and essay phases will be remote.
- The interview phase will preferably be in person, but may be remote for people outside Rio de Janeiro.
