The Manitoba Arts Council has announced its Strengthen Program to support projects aimed at strengthening arts and cultural organizations.
Funding Information
- Grant amount: up to $5,000
Eligible Activities
- Organizational capacity building projects
- Safety, access, and health and well-being initiatives
- Developing new organizational models and management practices
- Implementing, adapting, or updating technology and equipment
- Opportunities for shared learning and networking
- Professional development and mentorship to support new leadership
Eligibility Criteria
- Professional arts organizations:
- supports professional artistic work in any discipline;
- is led by paid, qualified professional personnel;
- is governed by a board of directors or an advisory body responsible for the organization;
- engages or supports professional artists and pays professional fees to artists;
- is based in Manitoba and has been active in the province for at least one year prior to applying;
- is incorporated;
- operates as a not-for-profit;
- operates as for-profit (publishers only).
- Professional arts service organizations:
- supports the development of professional artists and the art form;
- is led by paid qualified personnel;
- has professional membership;
- is governed by a board of directors or an advisory body responsible for the organization;
- has been active in the province for a at least one year prior to applying;
- is based in Manitoba;
- operates as a not-for profit.
- Community not-for-profit organizations:
- is governed by a board of directors or an advisory body responsible for the organization;
- has been active in the province for at least one year prior to applying;
- engages in artistic and/or cultural activity;
- is based in Manitoba;
- operates as a not-for profit.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Organizations with annual revenues greater than $1 million are ineligible to apply.
