Deadline: 30 August 2024
The Political Studies Association is delighted to continue supporting Black and minority ethnic students undertaking PhD study in Politics and International Relations for their Diverse Voices PhD Student Programme.
The Diverse Voices PhD Programme recognises that while all PhD researchers face challenges, some are more pronounced among minority groups, such as isolation, lack of institutional support, and perceptions of disadvantage. This initiative provides a unique platform for black and minority ethnic early career scholars in politics and international relations to network, share experiences, and receive tailored support and mentoring in navigating academia. It helps students build essential soft skills, access valuable resources, and advance their academic careers in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Benefits
- During the 24/25 academic year, the Diverse Voices PhD Student Programme will include:
- One year’s complimentary PSA Membership.
- Attendance at PSA25 (the PSA’s annual international conference)
- £500 grant.
- In-person networking meetings and workshops.
- Online mentoring sessions.
