Have you ever wondered what the day-to-day work of an Ambassador is like? The competition will give the winner the unique opportunity to shadow the British Ambassador to the Philippines and learn about the work of an Ambassador and other diplomacy leaders.
They invite young students to become leaders and advocates for change by offering them the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the British Embassy Manila.
Eligibility Criteria
- You can enter this competition if you are:
- A female student in the Philippines
- Available to spend a full day of activities with us at the British Embassy
- The competition is open to female applicants only whose primary country of residence is Philippines, aged between 14 to 17 years old.
- Applicants must be enrolled for the duration of the 2024/2025 academic year.
- Applicants must be fluent in Filipino and English
Application Requirements
- Entries should be in written format (essay) within the word limit of 500 words.
- Entries must be in English.
- Together with the essay, each candidate must fill in the form with contact details and agree with these terms and conditions.
- Candidates must enter the competition with entries that have not been published in print or online prior to the announcement of the Ambassador for a Day competition and have not been used for applying to similar initiatives.
- The content of the essays must be original and in line with the theme of the Ambassador for a Day campaign.
- The use of AI writing tools is strictly forbidden and may result in disqualification.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
