NCHMCT launches the all India school level essay writing competition on “Hospitality Education in India and role of IHMs under NCHMCT in Career Building in the field of Hospitality Management”.
About the Topic of Essay
- “Hospitality Education in India and role of IHMs under NCHMCT in Career Building in the field of Hospitality Management”.
- One has to highlight about the history of starting hospitality education in India and about the various academic programs available on the hospitality discipline. Has to highlight about the pre-requisite qualification to enter into such programs, selection procedures to get enroll into such programs, duration of such programs and what is the basic learning or competence development in such programs. It would be very relevant if the history of few premier IHMs (under the Central Government) highlighting few of their alumnus as success story.
- The participants has to further explain the role of IHM in skilling India through which the pass-outs established in their career not only in hotel but also other hospitality and service industry. One has also to highlight the competency development done by the IHMs. Various job opportunities available in Indian as well as international job market for such graduates. If possible, statistical data can also be given by highlighting the number of skilled manpower produced by IHMs every year and how they are placed in the national as well as international job market by giving some live examples.
- At the last, one should conclude with the information about role of hotels and other hospitality industry in employment generation in India and abroad. What is the percentage of trained manpower in the industry who are from various IHMs under NCHMCT ? In concluding para, it will be proper if the participant give comparative view of skilling in the hospitality field by IHMs with other similar institute/universities functioning in India.
Award Information
- Awards and Certificates to the participants will be as under:
- All the participants will get a participation certificate online through the same portal through which they will participate into the competition.
- All India 1st prize winner – Rs.1,00,000/- (one lakh only) and a Golden plaque.
- All India 2nd prize winner – Rs.50,000/- (fifty thousand only) and a Golden plaque.
- All India 3rd prize winner – Rs.20,000/- (twenty thousand) and a Golden plaque.
- Other shortlisted by the zone and forwarded to the Council – Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand only) each and a Certificate of merit.
- Recognition of the school:
- The schools from where the team will win 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize will be awarded by a trophy and a Golden plaque.
- School from where 20 or more students participated in the competition will be recognized with a golden plaque.
- Schools from where 15 or more but less then 20 students participated in the competition will be recognized with a silver plaque.
- Other attraction of the award function:
- The awardees and school representatives will be offered a conducted tour of Delhi and another tour to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri to visit Taj Mahal & Buland Darwaja.
Who can Participate?
- Participant should be an Indian National.
- He should be a student, currently studding in either Class 11 or 12 in a recognised School under a recognised Board.
