Applications are now open to participate in the public competition on the topic: “Sustainable practices in households that are used in everyday life in order to reduce the carbon footprint” and receive one of five valuable cash prizes.
Sustainable practices can be related to food, energy, transport, waste and the like, such as: using alternative energy sources, saving electricity and heat, reusing materials and recycling, composting, collecting rainwater, environmentally friendly transport habits in order to reduce carbon emissions, using energy-efficient appliances in the household.
The organizer of the competition is the Organization for Connecting Natural Values and people CNVP – Subsidiary in the Republic of Macedonia.
Prize Information
- Participants in the prize public competition who will be awarded based on the provisions of these Rules have the opportunity to receive the following cash prizes for achieved 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, 4th place and 5th place:
- 1st place: 750 euros
- 2nd place: 500 euros
- 3rd place: 350 euros
- 4th place: 250 euros
- 5th place: 150 euros
Eligibility Criteria
- Every adult citizen from the Republic of North Macedonia will have the right to participate.
- Legal entities and groups/organizations of citizens do not have the right to participate.
Selection Criteria
- A fundamental criterion is that the practice strives to achieve a balance between environmental, social and economic impacts. Criteria according to which the winners will be selected are:
- Impact on the environment
- Economic viability
- Long-term sustainability, for future generations (resilience and adaptability)
- Total number of sustainable practices in a household.
