WWF-India is pleased to announce the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge (WWGC) that fosters curiosity and a spirit of adventure in young nature enthusiasts, inculcating in them a love of all things wild.
With the Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2024, you will step into the realm of reptiles to explore the diversity of reptiles from around the world, dispel myths and misconceptions, and discover the fascinating characteristics, adaptations, and behaviours that have helped reptiles survive and thrive for millions of years!
Get set for the Challenge by exploring these aspects of reptiles-
- The evolution of reptiles
- Major reptile groups – turtles and tortoises, crocodiles and alligators, lizards and snakes, and tuatara
- Reptile diversity and habitats
- Unique physical characteristics and behavioural adaptations, including hunting, locomotion, reproduction, parental care, migration, etc.
- The ecological significance of and socio-cultural connections with reptiles
- Debunking myths and misconceptions
- The threats to reptiles and the conservation of these animals
The Wild Wisdom Global Challenge from WWF-India brings to students an interactive and child-friendly learning platform by which they can learn about biodiversity and discover their role in nature conservation at an early age.
The Challenge sets young minds on a learning journey, complete with engaging and informative learning resources, valuable interactive learning experiences such as webinars and workshops, and fun and competitive quizzes that challenge knowledge while building character and team spirit.
Theme
- From the geckos on your walls to the harmless rat snake that slithers unseen in your neighbourhood park-reptiles are all around. And they have more of a link to your lives that you would imagine. Did you know that snakes have inspired the zig-zag movement of search-and-rescue robots?
- This year, WWGC takes you into the realm of reptiles to look at these scaly animals in a whole new way!

Eligibility Criteria
- The sharpest minds from grades 6 to 9 compete in a series of challenges, all while becoming champions of the environment.
