The Toto Funds the Arts (TFA) is inviting applications for its 2025 Toto Award for Digital Art from applicants between the ages of 18 and 29 to recognize the growing field of digital art in India.
Prize Information
- The winner, to be decided by an independent panel of jurors, will receive a cash prize of INR 60,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply (Overseas Citizen of India cardholders are not eligible). Since the spirit of the award is to identify promising young digital artists, you can apply if your birthday falls between 1 January 1995 and 1 January 2007. Entries submitted by galleries or agencies on behalf of artists will be disqualified. The artists themselves need to apply.
- The submission should comprise digitally drawn or created still images. Computer generated images including digital painting and 2D or 3D graphics are permitted. Note that AI generated images will not be accepted.
- The images should be screen resolution – 72 dpi and 1500 pixels on the long side and each file should be under 3 MB.
- You should submit a minimum of 12 images and maximum of 16. Number your images (1, 2, 3, 4 etc.), followed by the title of each image if any. Each image must be supported by a short statement/description
- Your submission should include three images in response to a common prompt suggested by them. The images should be accompanied by a short paragraph of about 50-100 words describing the series of three images. Without the three images your entry will be disqualified. The prompt for the 2025 Award is ‘MUSIC’
- The images should be sent in JPEG, PDF or PNG format only.
- The images submitted MUST NOT carry your name or watermark.
- Applicants must own total and unconditional copyright of all submitted images.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Animated or moving entries such as GIFs.
- Images that are manually drawn and scanned into digital format.
- Images commissioned or created for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes.
- Images that infringe the intellectual property rights of other people.
- If you have applied for this award previously, please ensure that you send new work for consideration and do not repeat any of the images submitted earlier.
