The Visa for Image – Perpignan is proud to present the tenth edition of the French Golden Visa Award for the best Digital news story.
The French Golden Visa Award for the best Digital news story will be awarded for the best digital news story produced with original, innovative use of multimedia tools: virtual reality, interactivity, or editorial video work released via social media.
In the context of non-stop news around the world, the digital news award will be given in recognition of an idea, content and original work offering an interesting angle and perspective on the news, herein after referred to as “the Digital news story”.
The Digital news story must be in French or English and have been published online between July 25, 2024 and July 25, 2025.
Prize Information
- A wire transfer or a check of €8,000 will be presented to the winner.
Eligibility Criteria
- Entry in the competition is open to all candidates aged 18 years or over, regardless of gender or nationality.
Ineligibility Criteria
- The competition is not open to people employed by Images Evidence.
Selection Criteria
- The selection process will therefore take the following criteria into account:
- the Digital news story must be related to a recent news topic;
- the Digital news story should demonstrate a journalistic and/or documentary approach to
- the treatment of a topical news item. The choice of subject treated in the Digital news
- story will be taken into account in the selection process;
- the Digital news story should demonstrate a multimedia approach with, in particular,
- combined use of several media – video, text, photos and sound – for online distribution.
- Photo slideshows will not be accepted;
- through their Digital news story, candidates should innovate and develop or contribute to
- a new, innovative and easy-to-access way of exploring news on the Web;
- production quality.
Application Requirements
- The application must include the following items/documents:
- the internet URL where the Digital news story is available;
- the electronically signed competition entry form;
- a scan of the candidate’s ID papers;
- a cover letter from the candidate containing a description of his/her entry;
- a curriculum vitae.
