Deadline: 25 October 2024
Nominations open for Valeria Frabetti to award people (artists, pedagogues, researchers, politicians, cultural operators) or institutions that have deservingly promoted the development and dissemination, in Bologna and worldwide, of performing arts for very, very young children from 0 to 3 years old.
The Award is dedicated to Valeria who, as artistic director of La Baracca, decisively supported the start of the project “The Crèche and the Theatre” and then accompanied it with passion for more than 30 years, as an actress and director.
The 2025 edition of the Award, even if it will give emphasis on cultural, pedagogic and artistic pathways, it will also consider “paths of production” for their distinctiveness, originality and attention to Early Years.
The Award is only an honorary recognition and every year one or more people or institutions can be awarded.
Aims
- to encourage the recognition of the very young child as a complete subject, in terms of understanding, emotions and expressiveness, who is interested in entering into a shared artistic relationship with the artists, the other children and the adults who accompany them, parents and teachers;
- to enhance the value of the Crèches as educational and cultural institutions, fundamental for the personal and social growth of children;
- to support the full cultural citizenship of young children and their right to enjoy Art and Culture.
Who can apply?
- Any public or private entity, including La Baracca, and any individual may submit one or more applications. Self-nominations are not allowed.
- The jury will be set by La Baracca, as promoter of the Award, and could or maybe not involve external members. The award cannot, of course, be assigned to any artist or organizer employed for La Baracca.
- The Award will be delivered during the Festival Visioni di futuro, visioni di teatro 2025, March, from 7 to 17.
