Nominations are now open for the Kabiller Prize to recognize outstanding scientific research, honor highly creative scientists and promote public understanding of their work and its importance to the society.
Categories
- The Kabiller Prize in Nanoscience and Nanomedicine: is the world’s largest monetary award for outstanding achievement in nanomedicine. It recognizes researchers who have made significant, career-long contributions to the field of nanotechnology and its application to medicine and biology.
- The Kabiller Young Investigator Award in Nanoscience and Nanomedicine: honors emerging researchers who have made recent groundbreaking discoveries with the potential for lasting impact in nanoscience and nanomedicine.
- The Kabiller Rising Star Award: is presented to talented, early-career faculty scientists in recognition of the exceptional potential of their contributions to nanoscience.
Prize Information
- The Kabiller Prize in Nanoscience and Nanomedicine: $250,000
- The Kabiller Young Investigator Award in Nanoscience and Nanomedicine: $10,000
- The Kabiller Rising Star Award: $3,000
Nomination Criteria
- Nominations are welcome from any academic institution worldwide, and nominators and/or nominees do not need to have an affiliation with the International Institute for Nanotechnology at Northwestern University. The Kabiller Prize and Awards value diverse perspectives that drive breakthroughs and are committed to recognizing outstanding scientific achievements worldwide. Nominees must hold a faculty position at an accredited academic institution.
Application Requirements
- A complete nomination package includes the following items:
- Nomination Letter (1-page)
- Curriculum Vitae of the nominee
- Copies of up to 5 publications
- Two additional recommendation letters
