Nominations are now open for The Diana Award, the most prestigious accolade a young person aged 9-25 years can receive for their social action or humanitarian work.
They’re proud to be the only charity set up in memory of the late Diana, Princess of Wales and her belief that young people have the power to change the world. Their mission is to empower young people to lead that change through a range of initiatives which unlock their potential, inspire action and create opportunities, ensuring that no young person is left out or left behind.
Benefits
- All Diana Award recipients will be invited to Virtual Diana Award Ceremony. Each recipient will be mailed a personalised Diana Award certificate and celebrated with their peers.
- UK-based Diana Award recipients are also presented with an invitation to Althorp House, Princess Diana’s childhood home. These invitations are gifted to Diana Award recipients in kind by Princess Diana’s brother Earl Spencer in recognition of their continuation of Diana’s legacy.
- All Award recipients will also be given access to their Development Programme which aims to support Award recipients to further their social impact, alongside personal and professional development.
- If your nomination is successful for the Legacy Award your young person will be invited to the biennial Legacy Award Ceremony. They will also be invited to join their unique Legacy Award Development Programme.
Eligibility Criteria
- The nominee is aged 9-25 years old at the date of nomination.
- The nominee has been carrying out their social action work for a minimum of 12 months.
- The nominator is over 18 years old.
- The nominator knows the nominee in a professional capacity.
- The nominator is not related to the nominee.
- The nominator can provide the contact details and a Supporting Statement from an additional Supporter to validate the nomination.
- The nominator can provide additional evidence of the nominee’s social action work (optional).
