Award Information
- Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) sponsors the POLAR Northern Resident Award annually. It is valued at $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
- Be a resident of Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon, or Inuit Nunangat (henceforth referred to as northern residents) for 3 or more years at the time of the application.
- Be enrolled (full-time or part-time) in an undergraduate program at a recognized college or university at the time of application and over the tenure of the award.
- Are engaged in Northern or Arctic research culminating in a paper, publication, or a similar output.
- demonstrate a commitment to polar studies.
