Mayo Artist Bursary Award – Ireland

Purpose of the Artist Bursary Award

The Artist Bursary Award aims to support the work of individual professional artists or artist collectives

• working in any artform/discipline Music, theatre, literature, visual arts, film, dance, performance art etc
• at all stages of their career – emerging, mid-career, established
• currently resident in Mayo.

Funding Information

• Awards will range from €150 to €1000.
• They may consider awarding additional funding to an application, but only under exceptional circumstances and if budget allows.

Criteria

• The Bursary award is a competitive process and funding in previous rounds of the award is not a guarantee of funding in the current year.
• Mayo County Council particularly welcomes new applicants who represent the diversity of Irish society. They encourage applications from all areas of the community regardless of your gender, sexual orientation, civil or family status, religion, age, disability, race or membership of the Traveller Community, or socio-economic background.
• The Bursary Award is not open to community groups or organisations.
