Deadline: 14 February 2025
The BBVA Foundation with its IV CSIC-BBVA Foundation Awards for Scientific Communication recognizes and encourages the work of journalists and researchers committed to bringing scientific advances to the public in a rigorous and attractive way, as well as to improve training in this crucial field for the development of scientific culture.
The presence of science in the media is no longer confined to specialised sections, but is increasingly taking on a leading role in political, economic and social information. Scientific communication to society is of the utmost importance in an information context in which, alongside continuous and highly significant advances in numerous areas of science, hoaxes and unfounded news stories are proliferating.
