They are on the lookout for young researchers ready to make a difference. Join now in spotlighting groundbreaking projects focusing on local climate solutions in Pakistan. Whether it’s enhancing resilience, addressing climate challenges, or promoting sustainability, your ideas can shape the future!
Five researchers will be selected to present their work at the Climate Resilience Conference and stand a chance to win a Small Research Grant.
Thematic Areas
- Enabling Policy Environment for a Just Transition: Investigate local policy frameworks supporting just transitions and climate actions and analyze the role of governance in driving climate policy implementation and providing actionable recommendations for an enabling policy environment.
- Innovations in Climate Change Mitigation & Adaptation: Showcase innovations contributing to climate change mitigation/adaptation.
- Sustainable Climate Financing Mechanisms: Evaluate financial mechanisms or innovative funding models that can support local/community-driven climate initiatives.
Winning Prize
- Five youth researchers with the potential to create the greatest impact through their ideas will have the chance to present & win a Small Grant to support the implementation of their research. The grant amount is 200k for the winner and 100k for the runner-up.
General Details
- General Eligibility: Applicants must be 18-30 years old at the time of submission, currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree programme and resident of Pakistan.
- Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on relevance, clarity, innovation, methodology, feasibility, potential impact, and budget/resource utilization.
- Presentation Requirement: Finalists must be available to present their research findings at the conference, adhering to the provided presentation templates.
- Language Proficiency: Participants should be proficient in English, as submissions and presentations are likely be conducted in English.
- Ethical Considerations: Proposals should adhere to ethical guidelines relevant to research, especially concerning human subjects or sensitive data.
