COPIC Award for diverse Artworks 2024

Submissions are now open for the 2024 COPIC Award that provides an opportunity to share diverse artworks created using Copic products.

It connects Copic fans from around the world to inspire each other and to enjoy a collective creative experience. Anyone can enter regardless of age, nationality, or genre.

They are holding the annual COPIC AWARD to spread the joy of creativity with Copic and provide an opportunity to showcase your artistic expression to the global art community. Within this global platform, they connect in a collective creative experience and synergize by learning from each other. Grab your markers, start bringing color to your ideas, and inspire others with your entry at COPIC AWARD.

This COPIC AWARD (hereinafter referred to as “AWARD”) is an event aimed at providing an opportunity to publish on the internet the works created using COPIC (hereinafter referred to as “COPIC Works” or entries), connecting COPIC fans all over the world by such works, and celebrating the joy of creativity.

Prize Information

  • The winners will receive the following prizes:
    • Grand Prize (1 entry)
      • Cash prize: US$3,000
      • Plus: A full 358 colors set of Copic Sketch, trophy and more.
    • Second Prize (2 entries)
      • Cash prize: US$1,000
      • Plus: A full 358 colors set of Copic Sketch, trophy and more.
    • Future Generation Art Prize (Youth Awards): Grand Prize (1 entry)
      • A full 358 colors set of Copic Sketch, trophy and more.
      • The winner will be selected from applicants 18 years of age or younger at the time of entry
    • Judges’ Awards (5 entries)
      • Special Edition Copic Set with an autograph of one of the judges, trophy and more.
    • Finalists (50 entries)
      • Special edition COPIC AWARD 2024 set and commemorative art book of the Selected COPIC Works (finalist works).
      • Entries selected by their panel of judges that pass the first round of judging are considered finalists.
    • Future Generation Art Prize (Youth Awards) (100 entries)
      • Special edition COPIC AWARD 2024 set.
      • The winners will be selected from applicants 18 years of age or younger at the time of entry.
    • Regional Awards (10 Entries)
      • Copic Sketch 72 Colors Set
      • Winners will be selected from entries per region (APAC [Asia Pacific], EME [Europe and the Middle East], NA [North America], LATAM [Latin America: South America and the Caribbean], and Africa [African continent]).
    • Pixiv Award(1 Entry)
      • Copic Sketch 72 Colors Set, an art book of finalists’ work, a free 12-month subscription to pixiv Premium, an exclusive interview on pixivision, and pixiv’s art book “VISIONS 2024 ILLUSTRATORS BOOK”.
      • The winning entry will be selected by the staff of “pixiv”, the illustration communication service.
    • Team Copic Awards(3 Entries)
      • Copic Sketch 72 Colors Set
      • Winning entries will be selected by the COPIC AWARD 2024 team, from all works submitted.
    • Three-Dimensional Work Award(2 Entries)
      • Copic Sketch 72 Colors Set and Copic Airbrushing System
      • Winning entries will be selected from all three-dimensional works submitted.
    • Social Media Award(1 Entry)
      • A full set of 180 Copic Ciao markers.
      • The winning entry will be selected from the works with images posted on the applicants’ own Instagram.
    • Applicants’ Choice Award(1 Entry)
      • Copic Sketch 72 Colors Set >>About “Favorite” function
      • The winning entry will be selected from the most popular works picked by the COPIC AWARD 2024 applicants with the “Favorites” feature.
    • Copic Multiliner Award(1 Entry)
      • A complete set of Copic Multiliner pens (including all colors and line widths) and Copic Pochette
      • The winning entry will be selected from all entries created with Copic Multiliner or Copic Multiliner SP.

Artwork Criteria

  • Your artwork must have been created using Copic products.
  • The artwork should be no larger than 420mm x 297mm x 300mm and weigh no more than 5kg.
  • L420mm x W297mm is equivalent to the international paper size A3. There is no restriction on the orientation of length and width.
  • Not only paintings or drawings, but three-dimensional works are also welcome. The base material does not have to be paper, but the use of fragile materials such as ceramic or glass is prohibited.
  • No categories, no specific theme – they’ve purposely kept this broad to encourage imagination!
  • Only one piece of artwork may be submitted per person.

Eligibility Criteria

  • There are no restrictions for nationality, age, experience, residence area, etc. Applicants must be individual artists, not groups.
  • Entry is limited to artworks which have not already been made public either though another competition or an exhibition (excluding personal exhibition or own social media pages).
