The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Regional Office in Bangkok is seeking a higher educational institution to develop and implement a Field School programme to disseminate good practices from the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.
Duration
- Duration of contract: 10 May – 15 December 2025.
Expected Deliverables
- In consultation with UNESCO, the contractor shall submit the following deliverables in English by the indicated dates for review and feedback by UNESCO:
- Updated Field School programme with proposed lecturers and site visits, and the list of participants by 30 June 2025
- Results of the Field School and its training content (lectures, participant handbook including details of site visit) by 30 September 2025
- Final report by 10 December 2025
Eligibility Criteria
- Be located in Asia and the Pacific;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operating a higher education course or programme related to cultural heritage conservation and management;
- Be familiar with organizing a field school activity;
- Be familiar with the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation;
- Ideally, hosting a UNESCO Chair related to cultural heritage and/or part of the Asian Academy for Heritage management network;
- Have appropriate staff to oversee administration and logistical arrangement;
- Good communication skills in English;
- Highly responsible with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
Application Requirements
- Interested institutions are invited to submit to UNESCO Bangkok the application package including,
- Institutional profile and CV(s) of the individuals involved (in English),
- A technical proposal illustrating how the tasks will be carried out, including a work plan with timelines, a proposed Field School programme, and a list of proposed partner institutions and proposed breakdown of participants (in English),
- A detailed financial proposal indicating all the necessary cost in the budget breakdown with unit cost for each item (in USD).
