The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Nepal welcomes nominations for WWF Nepal – Conservation Award from Nepali individuals and/or organizations registered in Nepal and are working in the field of conservation and natural resource management.
The nominations will need to reflect illustrious accomplishments and innovations in the areas of biodiversity conservation, climate change and pollution, sustainable development, environmental education and youth leadership, environmental crime control, and media and journalism.
The award is now recognized as the WWF Nepal Conservation Awards, which seeks to continue this legacy by honoring grassroot conservationists that have made a significant contribution to protect Nepal’s rich biodiversity.
The awards cover a range of themes in conservation and natural resource management and aims to motivate and inspire frontline conservationists.

Prize Information
- The awardees will receive citations and cash prizes – Rs. 50,000 for individuals and Rs. 100,000 for organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
- The WWF Nepal Conservation Award is awarded to Nepali individuals and/or organizations registered in Nepal, in recognition of their significant contributions in biodiversity conservation and natural resource management under the given areas.
- An individual or organization must be nominated by a third-party. Please note that a third-party nomination is mandatory, and any self-nominations will be automatically disqualified.
- The third-party may nominate more than one individual or organization.
- All nominees must be based in Nepal. External nominees do not qualify for awards.
- Only digital nominations will be accepted.
