The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thailand Foundation are pleased to announce the call for nominations for Thailand’s Public Diplomacy Awards to recognize individuals, groups, or organizations of Thai and/or foreign nationality who have made significant contributions to enhancing the reputation, prestige, image, and popularity of Thailand, Thais, or Thainess in the international community.
Objectives
- The objectives are as follows:
- To honor individuals, groups, or organizations engaged in public service, humanitarian endeavors, cultural promotion, sports, innovation, and other fields who have played a pivotal role in advancing Thailand’s public diplomacy efforts.
- To provide encouragement and support to award recipients, enabling them to further their endeavors and serve as exemplary models for others.
- To foster awareness among individuals, groups, and organizations regarding their potential contribution to public diplomacy, thereby strengthening people-to-people relations.
Prize Information
- Cash prize of 300,000 Baht per award.
- Certificate of recognition.
- Permanent inscription of the recipient’s name on the “Goodwill” trophy, displayed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Ayudhya Road.
- Inscription of the recipient’s name on a commemorative plaque at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sri Ayudhya Road.
- A replica trophy bearing the recipient’s name, to be given to the recipient.
- Number of Awards: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thailand Foundation will confer up to three awards to individuals, groups, or organizations of Thai and/or foreign nationality.
Nomination Criteria
- Individuals, groups, or organizations may nominate themselves or others. In the case of nominating others, the nominator must obtain the nominee’s explicit consent.
- Royal Thai Embassies, Permanent Missions, and Consulates-General are also eligible to submit nominations.
