The KidsRights is inviting nominations for its International Children’s Peace Prize to promote the wellbeing of children across the world and advocate for the realization of their rights.
Prize Information
- The Nkosi statuette awarded to the winner during the ceremony.
- The Demond Tutu Study and Care Fund to contribute to the winner’s education.
- The International Children’s Peace Prize Project Fund, out of which €50.000 is for the winner’s project. KidsRights further invests in the changemaking projects of young changemakers worldwide.
- A global platform for the winner to amplify their message and impact.
- Top 3 finalists of the International Children’s Peace Prize:
- An opportunity to attend the ceremony in-person and amplify their message and impact on a global scale.
- Top 30 nominees of the International Children’s Peace Prize:
- Top 30 nominees will benefit from global visibility as they will feature on their social media platforms.
- All eligible nominees of the International Children’s Peace Prize:
- An opportunity to be featured on the KidsRights website, providing greater visibility.
- A certificate from KidsRights Foundation.
- An opportunity to become a part of their global digital platform ‘State of Youth’ to connect with other young changemakers and receive guidance and financial support for changemaking projects.
Nomination Criteria
- A child above 12 years and under 18 years of age, from anywhere in the world.
- The child must have a clear history of standing up and fighting for the rights of children.
- The child’s changemaking efforts must have led to a concrete positive result or impact on the rights of children, locally, nationally or globally.
- The child must have agreed to be nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize.
- Individuals and groups of up to five children can be nominated. Organizations cannot be nominated.
