Deadline: 30 April 2025
Applications are now open for the John Snow Awards for Intercalating Medical Students studying on bachelor’s or master’s degree programmes.
Funding Information
- Awards of £2,000 per student are available.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scheme has been designed to encourage medical student interest in anaesthesia and its related disciplines.
- The awards are intended for students who are studying as part of a programme of work leading towards a registered medical qualification. Therefore, students of intercalated bachelor’s or master’s degrees are eligible to apply. Applications from students undertaking either programme of study will be reviewed in parallel.
Assessment Criteria
- Quality of the student
- Quality of the research project
- Supervisor and teaching environment
Application Requirements
- An institution can submit a maximum of four applications in any given year, so they encourage some coordination between supervisors.
- Applications can be submitted for projects that have already commenced during the current academic year. In these cases, the project information required on the application form should focus only on the research proposal rather than the results.
