The Viviane Esders Prize rewards the career of a European photographer, professional and independent.
Anchored in the idea of a discovery or rediscovery of a work, it stands out for the generosity of its endowment and the recognition it brings to the careers of remarkable artist photographers who have a real need for financial support to pursue their careers.
Prize Information
- The winner receives a €50,000 prize, of which €10,000 is devoted to the production of a book.
- Two finalists each receive €5,000 in prize money.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be over 60 years old, still active and demonstrating personal writing and an assertive artistic approach.
- Their aim is to attract more applications from female photographers.
