The Jeonju International Awards for Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage aims to encourage the model safeguarding practices of ICH in the global community regardless of nationality, ethnicity, religion, race, age, gender, or any other political, social, economic or cultural orientation.
Prize Information
- Total of 30,000 USD along with the JIAPICH Plaque, awarded to 1-5 individuals/organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals or organizations engaged in the protection and transmission of intangible cultural heritage are eligible to apply.
Evaluation Criteria
- Contribution level to the protection and transmission of intangible cultural heritage
- Efforts to establish a governance system and strengthen social connection and collaboration
- Cases of exemplary activities and cooperative development in the field of intangible cultural heritage.
Application Requirements
- All documents must be submitted in PDF format
- Supporting materials (to be submitted upon request): pamphlets, videos, articles, etc
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
