The Awards focus on designs for social good that build sustainability for the planet and improve lives, particularly by addressing the underprivileged and unmet needs of society. This edition, they’re extending an invitation to innovators who are addressing water-related challenges.

Theme

• The 2024 theme: Design for Water
  • Your significant design innovation could address any or more of these challenges surrounding water in India: climate change, potable water, inequity, accessibility, groundwater depletion, sustainable practices, education, water for agriculture, water management and conflicts over water.
  • Innovators, Designers, Inventors and Entrepreneurs are poised to take up a unique challenge to address how humankind needs to take ownership for the planet one inhabit. To change the course of life on earth means to change the course of how one replenish, conserve, clean and save water. Let’s start at home. Four reasons why:
    • Need of the Year: Solving the water crisis is one of the most highly prioritized goals during COP26 that also aligned with the G20 Priority Areas.
    • A Core Titan Initiative: Sustainability for water conservation has been role modeled by the Titan Company through their various initiatives.
    • Mitigating Uncertainty: Predictions for the future show one are headed for disaster. As per the existing consumption patterns, it is estimated that 2/3rd of the world’s population may face water shortages by 2030.
    • A Crisis Beyond Borders: People across the world are facing a water crisis, impacting every nation’s development, economic trade and manufacturing. There is an urgent call for immediate solutions.

What you will get?

• They provide funds, advocacy, networks and rigorous mentorship to increase your solution’s reach and impact over two phases.
  • Implementation Phase
    • Grants of up to 50 lakhs INR for 6 Grantees with Advocacy and Networking support and Tailored Mentorship, 12 months
  • Deep Impact Phase
    • Grants of up to 1.5 crore INR for the top 2 grantees of implementation phase for a duration of 18-24 months, along with Capacity building, Networking, Mentorship and Advocacy support.

• Bold, inspiring, market- ready design solutions for social good that have the potential to scale-up.

Does your solution qualify?

• The solution can be a product or a service.
• The solution must be aimed at resolving a social problem in the thematic area of “Water”.
• The solution must have been prototyped, tested and proven.
• The solution should be at a go-to-market stage or already in the market.
• The solution must be implementable in India.

Eligibility Criteria

• Foreign nationals are also eligible, provided the implementation of the solution is in India.
• Entries must be made as individuals or teams.
• Participants must be a minimum of 18 years old.
