Are you interested in exploring the topic of Post Truth? Then you are more than welcome to apply to the Post Truth collaborative residency.
Post Truth: Countering Disinformation Narratives focuses on the growing problem of disinformation and fake news and how critical thinking, media literacy and other creative strategies can be used to counter it. The project deals with the challenges of the “post-truth era” at the time of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
This will take the form of a series of transdisciplinary residencies bringing together local artists, researchers from different fields, activists and community members in four collective spaces in Ukraine, Germany, Poland and France. In addition, there will be public events such as exhibitions and workshops in which more local people can participate.
Through creative expression and collaborative engagement, the project will question the surface of things and question the narratives they are told. By stimulating discussion, fostering empathy and strengthening a sense of community, they aim to help build a better informed and more resilient society, able to withstand the effects of disinformation and manipulation, and strengthen solidarity in the fight for truth and justice.
This project was initiated by the learning laboratory and its civil society partners in Ukraine, Poland and France and is led and curated by Seila Fernández Arconada.
Objectives
- to investigate the subject of post-truth, counter fake narratives, and build solidarity in the struggle for truth and justice
- to enhance critical thinking and media literacy skills through creative expression and collaborative engagement
- to learn from the topic, local initiatives, and experts
- to cooperate with each other and produce artistic projects + tools to counter disinformation and seek truth in local and international realities.

Participant’s Profile
- Aged 18+
- with at least an intermediate level of English
- currently living in Germany of any nationality
- being present for the whole program
- being interested in the topic and committed to collaborating with other participants
- being a practitioner in Arts connected to the topic (required).
