CDTO Campus: UNDP announces Programme for Women Leaders in Digitalization – Ukraine

The “UNDP: Programme for women involved in the digitalisation of public services” CDTO Campus programme combines the acquisition of practical knowledge with training in the leadership skills necessary for the effective digitalisation of the public sector.

The programme is implemented within the framework of the project “Digital, Inclusive, Accessible: support for the digitization of public services in Ukraine” (DIA Support project), which is implemented by UNDP in Ukraine with financial support from Sweden, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and CDTO Campus.

The programme, built on the best national and international cases and practices, is aimed at:

• improving the knowledge and skills of participants in the field of development, implementation and technical support of digital public services;
• providing deep understanding of the requirements of the CDTO (Chief Digital Transformation Officer) position and the portfolio of tools available to the digital transformation manager, which will help them carry out their duties efficiently and effectively;
• helping participants obtain the soft skills, such as leadership and other non-technical skills, needed to initiate and implement breakthrough digital projects;
• increasing the representation of women in the digital state sphere, and counteracting relevant gender stereotypes and prejudices.

Programme Format and Duration

• The leadership programme for women will last for six months – from April to September 2024. The training course includes four modules, which will be held in the format of 17 weekly webinars and a two-day offline training session in Kyiv, scheduled for May.
• The training modules cover various areas, such as the implementation of digital technologies in the public sector, current trends in digitalisation, effective management, as well as the development of non-technical skills, including communication skills, negotiation skills, and the art of public speaking.
• Programme participants who attend 70% of the training modules (12 webinars) will be able to take part in a study session abroad, and receive a certificate of successful completion of the programme.

Selection of Participants

• Women managers with at least three years of professional experience in middle management positions in executive bodies, or subordinate institutions or enterprises, and who have participated in the implementation of at least two state digital transformation projects, are invited to participate.
• Applications will be accepted from 1-17 March inclusive. Applications should include a short letter of motivation and a resume or CV.
