The Asia New Zealand Foundation is accepting applications for the Community Sports Fund to provide funding for community groups travelling to Asia to engage in cultural activities.
Funding Information
- Funding is designed to support half/full days of cultural activities. Budget on approximately $300 per person, up to a maximum of $7000 per team.
Eligibility Criteria
- Community sports funding is available for:
- non-professional sports people only
- athletes aged 14 and over
- New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
- The main criteria for travelling to Asia must be to participate, train, upskill or officiate in sport.
Terms and Conditions
- Sports groups receiving funds are required to extend their itinerary while in Asia beyond the sports activity and experience the culture of the host nation.
- Groups must be given approval to travel by their national sports organisation. Funding must be used within 12 months of the date of your application.
- There will be several opportunities where you can acknowledge the Foundation’s support, prior, during and on return, these will be discussed with the successful recipients.
- Successful applicants will be required to agree to the standard terms and conditions for Asia New Zealand Foundation funding recipients.
