The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is pleased to announce the Internationalisation Grants to support the internationalization of projects that contribute to expanding the international relations network of artists, authors, curators and programmers in the areas of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Cinema and Disciplinary Crossings.
Support will be granted for:
- Encourage the implementation of projects that contribute to creating and strengthening international collaboration networks with an impact on the professional growth of the Entities as well as the visibility and recognition of their work.
- Support the travel of artists, authors/programmers/curators to participate in artistic projects promoted by leading international cultural institutions with regular activity in the areas of this Competition.
Funding Information
- The value of the support to be granted will be determined by the Foundation with a reference ceiling of €5,000 and will mainly cover travel, accommodation and meal expenses of the Beneficiary Entities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Portuguese artists, curators and programmers in their individual capacity, or through private Portuguese non-profit organisations with which they collaborate in the implementation of the project can apply.
- Foreign authors, curators and programmers residing in Portugal, either individually or through private Portuguese non-profit organisations with which they collaborate in the execution of the project can apply.
- Projects must be submitted 45 days prior to the date of the international event and must be executed within the period of 12 months following the application.
Ineligibility Criteria
The criteria for exclusion from the competition will be:
- Projects that take place in commercial contexts.
- Projects with an academic or school nature.
- Projects exclusively in the fields of Architecture and Design.
