Deadline: 25 June 2025
Are you between 18 and 30 years old, a Croatian national, speak French and are interested in European issues? The French Embassy in Croatia is pleased to invite applications to fund a scholarship allowing a young Croatian citizen to follow the training cycle of the ‘Notre Europe’ Academy of the Jacques Delors Institute.
The Notre Europe Academy offers a free annual European citizenship training program. Each intake welcomes around one hundred young students, interns, and professionals aged 18 to 30 from numerous European and non-European countries.
To better understand how Europe was built in the past and as it is today, this course offered by the Academy features meetings with key players in European integration from the Jacques Delors Institute network. By deepening their knowledge of the EU, its functioning, and its policies, these exchanges allow young students to assert themselves as European citizens and nurture their professional projects.
Cost Covered
- The scholarship provided by the Embassy will allow the selected candidate to take part in the two face-to-face sessions organized in Paris, according to the following terms:
- Coverage of travel and accommodation costs: travel between the Croatian home and Zagreb airport + return plane ticket Zagreb-Paris + two nights in Paris.
- A lump sum will also be paid to cover public transport costs in Paris and meals.
Programme Specifications
- The course is designed so that the Croatian participant can follow it remotely, in the form of a cycle of eight monthly thematic sessions, spread between October 2025 and June 2026 and including debates, workshops and simulation games, in the presence of decision-makers and experts in European construction.
- The cycle is delivered exclusively in French. The auditor subsidized by the embassy is required to attend all the sessions, at the end of which the acquisition of knowledge is verified by means of a questionnaire. A certificate is issued at the end of the cycle in the event of success.
- The scholarship from the French Embassy in Croatia allows the selected candidate to take part in the inaugural and closing sessions of the Notre Europe Academy in Paris, in October 2025 and June 2026 respectively. Since the rest of the program is followed remotely, this training is compatible with a university or professional schedule in Croatia. The training program is established as follows:
