The Sparkventure is inviting applications from all engineering and computer science students in Kerala to step up and showcase their groundbreaking ideas.
They welcome project proposals from Engineering & Computer Science students showcasing unique projects or startup ideas. Exceptional proposals will stand a chance to receive grants to transform their ideas into products.
Objectives
- Empowering creative student projects through financial grants to evolve them into tangible products, thereby cultivating a dynamic and lively environment that stimulates and nurtures a thriving startup ecosystem within the country. The initiative specifically focuses on startup ideas, aiming to ignite innovation among students and serve as a catalyst for their entrepreneurial endeavours.
Prize Information
- The total prize money will be up to ₹ 3 Lakhs, and the prize for each project grant can range from 50,000/- to 1 lakhs based on the project need. The grant money will be dispersed in three stages as per the milestones achieved.
- The 3 winners will also receive a ‘Sparkventure 2.0’ event winner certificate and an industry project completion certificate on the completion and handing over of the project.
- Runner up certificates will be given to all the top 10 shortlisted teams.
- An additional cash prize of ₹ 15K and a certificate of exemplary execution of project will be given to one or more of the three teams who showcase exceptional project execution.
- All the winners will be considered for placement opportunities at Core Cognitics Limited on the completion of their bachelor’s degree.
- Duration: The challenge will run as a 6-month contest cycle, culminating on 25 January, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications from students currently enrolled for B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA, MCA , B.Sc Computer Science, M.Sc Computer Science and any other computer science related degrees across colleges in Kerala will be accepted.
- Team Size: The team size is limited to a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 students, plus a faculty supervisor.
- Domain: IT solutions to address challenges across various sectors including Healthcare, EdTech, Biotech, Genetics, FinTech, Intelligent Urban Systems, Renewable Energy, AgriTech, Sustainability and Environmental Conservation, Cybersecurity, Business and Retail, Employment and Recruitment, Marketing and Sales, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Quantum computing etc.
