Submissions are now open for Calderdale Natural Flood Management (NFM) Grant to achieve the objectives set out in the Calderdale Flood Action Plan, with the aim of managing the landscape to slow the flow of water.
Funding Information
- These organisations will receive 10% of the overall project cost from Calderdale Council, up to a maximum payment of £1000.
- Successful applicants will be given 18 months to complete the capital works outlined within their grant agreement.
Eligibility Criteria
- All parties who own land within the Calderdale boundary can apply for this scheme if water that flows off the land in question flows into Calderdale.
- Landowners can appoint organisations or land agents to submit applications for them.
- Tenants (or their agents) may apply with landowners’ permission.
- Commoners’ associations (or their agents) may apply subject to the requisite permissions. Any application restricting access to common land would require full consultation and permission from the Secretary of State.
