The Museum Kesselhaus Herzberge is seeking applications for its Matrix-Ost Project to recontextualize contemporary Eastern European visual art within the historic and political framework, fostering dialogue and reflection on the shared and distinct artistic experiences of Eastern and Western Europe.

Funding Information
- An honorarium of €150 for each selected participant.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications are open to professional, freelance visual artists or artist groups of all ages.
Selection Criteria
- Artistic quality and execution.
- Cohesion between concept and artistic expression.
- Harmony of the proposed project with the overall exhibition selection.
- Physical readiness of the work for display (technical feasibility of installation).
- Thematic alignment with the exhibition concept.
Application Requirements

- Short Biography (up to 200 words)
- CV
- Portfolio
- Project Description (up to 1000 words)
- Photos or Visualisations of the Artwork (up to 5 images)
- What can be submitted in the application:
- Finished visual art work (painting, sculpture, graphics, installation, video art, etc.).
- Concept of visual art work (painting, sculpture, graphics, installation, video art, etc.)
- Performative art work (performance, theatre, happening)
- Lecture
