Are you an older adult athlete who is ready to share your fitness journey with the Senior Planet community? Senior Planet from AARP is putting out a “call for athletes” to become a Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete.
The Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete program features five older adult athletes. Over the course of the year, they chronicle their fitness journeys through fitness articles. Athletes also host virtual events for the Senior Planet community.
Prize Information
- Each Selected Winner will receive a $1,000.00 prize to be used toward achieving future fitness goals such as a gym membership or exercise equipment). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each Prize: $1,000.00. If the actual retail value of the Prize differs from its stated ARV, the Selected Winners will not receive the difference in value. Limit: Only one (1) prize per individual. Winners will receive the Prize within 90 days of being confirmed as the winner. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received, and the Judge’s evaluation of said entries.
What it takes to become a Senior Planet Sponsored Athlete?
- Sponsored Athletes inspire other seniors by sharing techniques that help them stay fit after 60. This includes agreeing to be interviewed and photographed for dedicated articles, writing your own blog updates for the website, and allowing them to share your story with the Senior Planet community.
- Host at least two live fitness events for the Senior Planet community, and attend at least two Senior Planet classes within 12 months of being selected.
- Applicants should engage in some type of fitness activity 3x per week and agree to use the $1000 prize toward achieving their fitness goals; for example: monthly gym membership, workout equipment, race entry fees, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Promotion is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States/District of Columbia, who are at least 60 years old as of the date of entry, except officers, directors, and employees (and members of their household and immediate families, i.e., parents, children, spouse, siblings) of Older Adults Technology Service, Inc. (also referred to as “Administrator”), its affiliates, advertising/promotion agencies, and/or their affiliates, assigns or representatives (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Administrator & Others”), and all other persons or entities associated with the development, administration, promotion, execution of, supply to or printing of this Promotion.
