Nominations are open for the ALERT Being Award, an award for humanity, to recognise the Good Samaritans.
The ALERT Being Award is not only a recognition of humanity in times of medical emergencies but it also is a platform to put the spotlight on any act of kindness and compassion that has resulted in saving or preserving or enabled human life with its dignity to thrive. Such acts are the beacons of hope for humanity and the ALERT Being Award is it to bring to fore such inspirations to fellow beings.
Categories
- Individual
- A recognition to honour individuals who answer the call of lives to act as ALERT Beings.
- Individual – Going Beyond Call of Duty
- A recognition to honour individuals who go over and beyond the necessity of duty, to Save Lives as ALERT Beings.
- Organization
- A recognition to honour organizations, whether they are NGOs, NPO,s, foundations, or CSR’s of corporates that have put in place life-changing and life-saving initiatives.
- Organization – Social Venture
- A recognition to honour organizations that provide systematic solutions to achieve a sustainable social objective.
- Icons – Individual or Organization
- A recognition to honour individuals or organizations who live their day-to-day lives as an example for others and have touched lives on a large scale consistently.
- Life Time Achievement
- A recognition to honour organizations that provide systematic solutions to achieve a sustainable social objective.
Who can apply?
- Individuals
- Life saving acts done during trauma/Disaster/Road Traffic accidents and other Medical Emergencies.
- Life saving acts by doing first aid during a medical emergency.
- Individuals working towards preserving and saving patients with terminal illness.
- Individuals working towards disease alleviation and disease related rehabilitation.
- Path breaking initiatives, innovations, and R&D for saving lives (All life threatening diseases and infections).
- Going Beyond Call of Duty
- An individual in public service/day job who’s responsibility includes protection and saving of lives but goes that extra mile to save or protect life/lives is considered a Good Samaritan under this category.
- Individuals with professions involving the protection or saving of lives such as Doctors, nurses, paramedics, police personnel, army personnel, security guards, firemen, etc can apply.
- Organization
- Any organisation focused on social responsibility towards
- Road Safety, Healthcare;
- Rehabilitation;
- Disability;
- Physically challenged; and
- Innovations, initiatives and R&D for saving lives will be eligible to apply
- Minimum of 5years existence of organisation is mandatory.
- Organisation should be a registered entity.
