The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine, is inviting applications for its free course for veterans in the field of mechanized demining for mine action.
Topics
- The course will last just under three weeks (from 2-18 December) and will cover the following topics:
- The five fundamental principles of mine action
- Land clearance in humanitarian demining
- National mine action standards
- Mechanized demining machines: types and operating principles
Training Structure
- First Week: Theoretical classes in Kyiv.
- Second Week: Field training in Chernihiv Oblast.
- Third Week: Final stage in Kyiv, with a final test and certificate award ceremony.
Eligibility Criteria
- 10 to 12 veterans will have the opportunity to enrol in the training course.
